The Inaugural Launching of the Oroko Women's Association (OWA), USA in Atlanta, GA.

It was on September 2, 2023, during the Oroko Cultural Association Convention in Houston, Texas, that a small group of visionary Oroko women came together to explore a bold new idea, he creation of an association solely dedicated to Oroko women here in the United States. What began as a passionate conversation has since evolved into a collective mission. In the months leading up to today’s Inaugural Assembly, we held a series of meetings, shared ideas, addressed challenges, and carefully laid the foundation for what we now proudly introduce as the Oroko Women’s Association (OWA), USA. And now, here we are! This moment would not have been possible without the dedication, unity, and hard work of each and every one of you. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed their time, energy, and unwavering commitment to making this vision a reality. Together, we have planted the seeds of something truly meaningful, and this is only the beginning.
